Fellow Bio:

Bethany received her degree in Sustainable Environmental Design from UC Davis. Since then, she’s worked for a cohousing development consultant, traveled around Europe, worked on organic farms in Nevada County, did drafting for a small architectural firm, and recently completed UC Berkeley’s [IN]CITY Summer Institute program for city planning & urban design. She is interested in all things sustainable planning, design, and development. She especially finds herself gravitating towards the concepts of incremental development, missing middle housing, and zoning reform as an antidote to sprawl and to create highly livable, interesting, walkable places! She’s looking forward to the opportunity of working with Placer County on housing and land use issues to help further these goals.
