Hello! I am a Texas native and a recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University, where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and minored in History. During my time at LMU, I was a member of an environmental justice-based service organization and served at volunteer placements around Los Angeles that helped to build local climate resilience. Additionally, I led a campus-wide divestment campaign that advocated for ethical and responsible investing by the university. In the upcoming service year, I will serve as a transportation fellow for the city of Beverly Hills and am excited to transition modes of travel to ones that support sustainability, accessibility, and equity. I also hope my time in CivicSpark will improve my understanding of urban planning, community engagement, and pathways towards capacity building in local governments.
