Ali grew up in the forest just outside Mount Rainier National Park, and recently graduated from the Evergreen State College with a BS/BA in Ecology and Conservation. Prior to attending Evergreen, she earned a Certificate of Paralegal Studies from Green River College and managed cases for a litigation defense firm in Seattle. Ali is thrilled for the opportunity to combine policy research, data analysis, and community outreach in assisting the City of Olympia Climate Program with decarbonization efforts. She hopes to learn effective planning and outreach strategies for addressing the dual concerns of climate change and housing crisis. In her free time, Ali enjoys baking, playing piano, reading, and herping (especially finding salamanders!).
