Mackenzie is the CivicSpark Senior Program Manager on the National Service team. She joined LGC in 2016 as CivicSpark Regional Coordinator for Southern California. In this role, she oversaw CivicSpark projects in the region, coordinating and providing training opportunities for Fellows, supporting successful completion of service projects, boosting volunteer and community engagement, and expanding LGC’s network in Southern California. From 2018 to 2020 Mackenzie was the Program Implementation Manager, overseeing regional staff across the state. In this role, she oversaw statewide and regional programming strategy and provided support and guidance on program activities across the state.
Mackenzie served as a CivicSpark Fellow from 2015-2016 at the Southern California Association of Governments researching and supporting sustainability policy and programming in the SCAG region.
Mackenzie is a MPA candidate in Sustainable Solutions at Presidio Graduate School and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Justice Studies with a minor in Sustainability from Arizona State University. She is passionate about equitable community engagement, program design and development, and social change.
Mackenzie resides in the Los Angeles area, and in her spare time enjoys hanging out with her son Ean, dog Joji, and cats Xena and Zelda.
