Daniel Maloney

Staff Bio

Daniel graduated with a BA in Political Ecology from U.C. Santa Cruz, pertaining to mining companies affecting indigenous cultures in South America. He played on the UCSC Men’s Soccer team for 4 years. In CivicSpark, he worked on environmental collaboration amongst County governments in Los Angeles. He then participated in the California Senate Fellowship working for California Senator Henry Stern where he helped pass SB 332 (Stern, 2017) that assists foster youth with access to voting materials. He then decided to take his advocacy to the ground level by teaching in Bay Area private and public schools. Recently, he traveled to Thailand, Laos, and Japan, sleeping in Buddhist temples and teaching English to novice monks and children. He is currently placed in the St. Louis Coro Fellowship working in public affairs.
