Evan Pierce joins the CivicWell team with a wealth of experience in conservation projects and
community engagement. Since his time as a member of the 2014-15 CivicSpark cohort in the
Sierra Nevada region, Evan has spent much of his career engaging young people in hands-on
conservation programs on public lands and promoting recreation access for underserved
communities in South Seattle. He recently earned his master’s degree in public administration,
where he had the opportunity to spearhead research investigating compensation equity for
state and federal wildland firefighters. Evan is passionate about green workforce development
and excited to support new teams of fellows as they tackle pressing climate issues at the local
and regional levels.
Currently residing in West Seattle, Evan spends much of his free time hunting for snow in the
Cascade mountains, exploring his local parks, and napping with his cat, Beau.
