Bill Sadler, J.D., M.U.R.P., is the executive director of the CivicSpark fellowship, a national AmeriCorps program focused on building capacity of local government agencies and community organizations to address pressing community resilience issues including climate change, public health and the social determinants of health. The fellowship program provides a launchpad for more than 100 young professionals per year who are seeking careers in the public health, environmental and sustainability sectors. Mr. Sadler has nearly 20 years of leadership & management experience with public health and environmentally-focused nonprofit organizations, government agencies and cross-sector coalitions across the United States. He
previously worked as Director of Operations at PHI’s Public Health Alliance of Southern California, where he supported the launch of the Healthy Places Index mapping tool, expanded health equity and racial justice efforts and provided technical assistance and critical support to local health departments during the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bill holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Colorado Denver, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College.
