Leila Shiblak is the Colorado and Washington Regional Coordinator for the CivicSpark program. She began as a 2020-2021 CivicSpark fellow serving with the City of Rancho Cucamonga. Her project work involved developing the City’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Plan, a document that serves to provide policy and strategy recommendations to support the future of EVs.
Leila graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.S. in Sustainability Studies. During her time at UC Riverside, she served as the Administrative Assistant to the Gender and Sexuality Studies Department. She is attentive to applying an intersectional lens to best develop a more nuanced understanding of issues around sustainability.
