Delaney King

Staff Bio

Delaney works for CEA Consulting as a Research Associate with the Environmental Policy & Advocacy practice, helping to provide strategic consulting services to address environmental challenges and opportunities for the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Before joining CEA, Delaney spent her CivicSpark service year with the City of San Leandro, working on a variety of public outreach efforts to create momentum behind climate action. She launched San Leandro’s first neighborhood energy challenge and collaborated on a public-private partnership to involve local students. After her service year ended, she continued to work with the city’s Sustainability Manager and helped host the city’s first-ever public event to discuss local climate resilience.

Delaney was born and raised in Hillsborough, North Carolina, and she graduated from Duke University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.

Current Fellows can ask her about: living in the Bay Area, working at a small city, serving on the CivicSpark Alumni Board, grocery shopping on a tight budget, and color coding organization systems.
