LA County’s Internal Service’s Department (ISD)’s Clean Transportation and Energy Programs serves as LA County’s champion for equitable access to zero-emission vehicles and charging infrastructure, striving to meet the County’s goals to create a sustainable future where clean transportation is accessible to all, fostering environmental resilience and social equity.

The County of Los Angeles is responsible for installing 15,000 EV charging stations through the region by 2035. The stations and other clean mobility programs are being deployed in all communities, including our most disadvantaged communities to provide clean transportation options, reduce health impacts of transportation, and enhance transportation equity.

Project Description

1. Goals: create a streamlined and easy to use electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) data tracking and reporting system, including using PowerBI and other tools as needed for the most effective reporting process.
2. Tasks: the fellow with assess the various applications of EVSE data, and make and implement recommendations to track, record, and develop reporting tools. The fellow will work with the team, GIS and PowerBI implementation staff, and outside entities as needed. The data includes multiple layers of EVSE data including site information and user fee processing.
3. Outcome: tracking and reporting processing in PowerBI or other tools identifies; sample reports using new tool
4. The County reports on the status of our EVSE goal frequently, including quantity and location of stations to executives as well as State and Federal entities. A streamlined process and reporting tools will assist our department in removing reporting roadblocks and hurdles.
