Fellow Bio

Maya graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Science in 2022. Her whole life, she has been fascinated by sustainable development. How do we reduce poverty and create opportunities for everyone while combatting the biggest threat to humanity – climate change? Having spent a significant part of her life in Southern California, Maya is excited to work for the Southern California Association of Governments this Fellowship year to implement and advocate for GHG reduction strategies and other initiatives to turn California into a green region!
