Fellow Bio
Emily Nielsen recently graduated from Seattle University where she studied Environmental Studies and Public Affairs. Originally hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, she is excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest where she enjoys permaculture gardening, dancing, and taking meandering walks. Emily is passionate about exploring creative ways that different sectors can come together to support sustainable and just systems. She is particularly interested in engaging more with community food systems planning. As a fellow, she is excited to learn more about the strategic planning process in Bothell and how climate resiliency efforts have been implemented in other cities.
